PE Waiver Requirements
PE waivers for the 2026-2027 school year must be submitted during the following dates:
YEAR LONG & FALL SEMESTER WAIVERS – July 20, 2026- August 3, 2026
SPRING SEMESTER WAIVERS – TBD
PE waivers without letters from the agency the student is participating with will not be accepted. Applications will only be accepted during the dates listed above. Late applications will not be accepted.
*Category 1 Waiver: Student must be participating in a program that leads to Olympic level of participation and/or competition for a minimum of 15 hours per week of highly intense, professionally supervised training. It must total a minimum of 180 hours per semester. Student may be dismissed from school one period per day. Application online. (6th graders may be eligible for the Category 1 Waiver - 15 hours or more a week and must leave campus after 7th period each day)
**Category 2 Waiver: Student must be participating in a program that is of high quality, well supervised by appropriately trained instructors, and consisting of a minimum of 5 hours per school week. It must total a minimum of 90 hours per semester. Student can receive a PE credit, but may not leave campus for any portion of the school day. Application online. (6th Graders enrolled in one of the following courses may be eligible for a Category 2 Waiver - Spanish IIA, Wildcat Lab, Reading Seminar, Study Skills, and Modified Reading)
In order to receive credit for the PE waiver, attendance logs must be kept listing individual dates and hours of participation. 90 hours for semester category 2 waivers and 180 hours for category 1 waivers. Logs are due for the fall semester by December 5. In the spring, logs are due by May 15.
Summer School
Middle School Summer School 2026
Dates: June 1st - 25th (M-Th).
Time: 8:00 - 12:00
Location: Cedar Creek Elementary 3301 Pinnacle Road
Registration is open through May 30, 2026. Late registrations are not accepted. Cost is $300 total. Up to two courses can be selected. Course payments can be made on the Eanes ISD website via online payments under District Summer Programs/Middle School. Contact your school counselor.
Students who withdraw on or before June 1, 2026 will receive a full refund. NO REFUNDS FOR WITHDRAWALS AFTER JUNE 1, 2026.
