Welcome to HCMS Orchestra! We are an award winning orchestra program and part of an exceptional performing arts team at Hill Country Middle School. On this website you will find detailed information about our 3 levels of orchestra: Beginner, Concert and Sinfonia, as well as helpful performance and rehearsal calendars. I'm looking forward to a great year!

Attention 5th Grade Families -

How to Join Orchestra Next Year in 3 Easy Steps!

#1- Choose Orchestra on Your Choice Sheet

If you think you want to play violin, viola, cello, bass or harp - choose Orchestra on your choice sheet.

If you change your mind later - that is ok! But by putting it on your choice sheet then you are guaranteed to get all the upcoming orchestra info!

#2 - Attend the 5th Grade Orchestra Info Meeting

Monday February 23rd 7-8pm at the Westlake High School Performing Arts Center.

There you will meet the directors, learn about renting instruments, and hear from current students.

#3- Pick Your Instrument!

Saturday March 7th 9am-2pm

at the Hill Country Middle School Cafeteria

On this day, you get to put your hands on the instruments, try them out, and pick the one you want! A link to sign up for a time slot will be sent out after the Feb 23rd meeting.
