Beginner Orchestra is the first level of orchestra, geared towards the student with little or no previous experience playing a stringed instrument. Beginner orchestra classes are separated by sections to allow more opportunities for individualized instruction and feedback. Students will learn proper instrument position and posture, note and rhythm reading skills, proper right and left hand technique and proper rehearsal and concert etiquette.
Private lessons are recommended for any and all students in the orchestra program! We have an amazing staff of private lesson teachers that are available for pull-out lessons during your child's orchestra class, or for after-school lessons. Please visit our private lesson page to find contact information for our teachers. You can contact them directly to schedule trial lessons, discuss scheduling, and payment.
