ELA, Science & Social Studies - Students must have maintained an 80 average on Pre-AP/Dual Credit prerequisite course or a 90 average on a regular prerequisite course.

Math - Students must have maintained an 85 average on Pre-AP/Dual Credit prerequisite course or a 95 average on a regular prerequisite course.

New to the district students must score an 85% on the Grade 8 Mathematics assessment. Assessment is to be administered by the high school counseling department prior to enrolling in the fall. See your high school counselor for more details.

Endorsements, Clusters & Programs of Study

All 8th graders must select an Endorsement as they register for high school. An endorsement is like a college major, but for high school students. It is a coherent sequence of courses that you will take in high school to start preparing for a future career. This program of study helps your counselor create your personal graduation plan (PGP), and your schedule for the next four years.

While we try our best to accommodate all students in the courses they select, there are times when it is not possible due to course capacity limits. If you do not get a class you selected, your Counselor will place you in another course that is required for graduation.
