Welcome to our new school year! I am thrilled to be a returning member in Dysart with my 22nd year in teaching. I'm so excited to have your child in my class! I feel it is important for students to build a bond with classmates and their teachers so that they may want to attend school and learn to the best of their abilities. Every child is unique and special, and it such great fun getting to know them all and help them develop their skills and love of learning.

As we look forward to creating a new classroom family, I thought to tell you a bit about myself as their new teacher. I received my teaching degree from NAU many moons ago before starting in Dysart in 2002 at Countryside's inaugural year. I adored working with the various age groups as a music teacher and did so for 4 years. I truly had a wonderful experience running all of the music programs, choirs, plays, and dinner theaters, as well as working with thousands of children each year.  I have also taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade and have seen so many students grow-up to become such incredible young men and women.

In my free time, I love to read, play piano, and go on adventures with my sons. I paid for college playing piano and singing, and I was even a member of Up With People and was blessed to travel all over the world performing.  As for my family, I am a mother to three amazing sons ages 18-25 years old, with my eldest is in the Navy as an EM2. I also have one sweet, trouble making Huskador.

As a teacher, parent, and business owner, I believe I have an understanding of the dynamic lives we lead and the importance in finding a peaceful, healthy balance. I am very much looking forward to working with each of you and welcoming you to our class. It is going to be a spectacular new year!

Sincerely,

Ms. James
