Welcome to Third Grade! 

My name is Belinda Fletcher and I am so excited to be your child's teacher. I am a second generation Arizona native and graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education.  

This year your student will travel between two teachers in preparation for upper elementary. I will be teaching math and science and Mrs. Ames will be teaching ELA and social studies. Our class will follow the Group B schedule located on the website. 

Third grade is an awesome year to be a learner! Some math highlights include multiplication, division and fractions. We will also cover many exciting science topics using hands-on and inquiry-based learning.

This is my fifth year teaching 3rd Grade and my eighth year working in the Dysart School District. Prior to teaching third grade, I was a Personalized Learning Tutor at Innovation Academy, working with 5th-8th graders, supporting students in all content areas. It was a truly rewarding experience to see students grow both academically and personally over the course of several years!

My husband John and I have a growing family! Since we have older kids, every year there seems to be a marriage or grandchild on the way. Our youngest is starting his junior year of high school.
