Welcome to Third Grade! 

My name is Belinda Fletcher and I am so excited to be your child's teacher. I am a second generation Arizona native and graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education.  

Third grade is an awesome year to be a learner! We begin using our reading skills to dive deeper into literature and informational text. In writing, we learn how to write a multi-paragraph essay! Some math highlights include multiplication, division and fractions. We will also cover many exciting science topics using hands-on and inquiry-based learning. Social studies is focused on all things Arizona. 

This is my seventh year teaching 3rd Grade and my tenth year working in the Dysart School District. Prior to teaching third grade, I was a Personalized Learning Tutor at Innovation Academy, working with 5th-8th graders, supporting students in all content areas. It was a truly rewarding experience to see students grow both academically and personally over the course of several years!

My husband John and I have a growing family! Since we have adult kids, every year there seems to be a marriage or a grandchild on the way.
