Action in PYP : Upcycling of Plastic Cans
Every class was assigned a unique activity. For example, for "Fun with Learning," an activity where everyone can learn, create, and, most importantly, have fun! Grade 3 was assigned the task of taking old, used cans of milk to show their creativity and reuse the cans in a better way by recycling to help the environment!
They contributed to the best of their ability. Shortly after, Ms. Shravani showed them how the activity was done, and they began to do it themselves, learning a pretty fruitful lesson. They learned to do their work under the guidance of their teacher, Ms. Shravani (the art teacher). Through her help, they made the unneeded cans of milk look fantastic! Their unique designs are what helped!

Trip to Victoria Memorial School
Grade 3 students had a truly inspiring visit to the Victoria Memorial School for the Blind. The students spent time interacting with their peers at the school, sharing music, and learning about the challenges faced by visually impaired students. Visiting a blind school serves several meaningful purposes, fostering empathy, understanding, and awareness among students. The students practised kindness, being mindful, and inclusive towards classmates or community members.
Grade 3 learners learned that people who cannot see have their own special ways of learning, like using Braille or listening carefully. Even if someone is blind, they can still do amazing things like reading, playing music, and studying like us. The visit was not only educational but also deeply moving, leaving the students with long-lasting memories of kindness and compassion. This visit reinforced the importance of inclusivity and inspired the students to be more mindful of others' experiences. They spent time interacting, sharing music, and discovering how visually impaired students learn and overcome challenges. They had a very educational day and learned empathy, respect, and understanding, which led to amazing memories.

Book Donation Drive
We, at DYPIS Worli, have decided to take the role of a Secret Santa , and our Grade 3 learners have taken the initiative to organize a book donation drive. This is from the 9th to the 19th December. We accept only storybooks from the ages 3 - 9 years old. Our grade 3 learners have made beautiful posters and have gone from class, spreading awareness about this wonderful initiative. The purpose for this is so that all the underprivileged children can enjoy the wonderful world of storybooks. All donated books will go to the school’s NGO, Book Buggy, in which all the 11th and 12th graders can go and read books to the underprivileged kids. We, the learners, are very enthusiastic about this and have already brought lots of books to give to the Book Buggy. Let’s donate more books so we can support the Book Buggy and help the underprivileged kids!
