Horticulture

This course highlights many of the areas of horticulture and the areas of knowledge that are important to them: growing media, fertilizers, plant growth regulators, pest management, greenhouse structures, greenhouse production, nursery crops, floral design, interiorscaping, landscaping and vegetable production. The students will grow plants in the greenhouse; do plantings at school, make bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, wreaths and floral arrangements. Any member enrolled in class is automatically a member of FFA and can participate in horticulture contests throughout the year.
