Jane's first degree is in Nursing (BSN, 1985), and her work as a nurse focused on psychiatric nursing with children and adolescents. Jane holds a Master's degree in Experiential Education (MS, 1998), and has worked as an educator for over 30 years in various settings, including wilderness, college, medical and school venues. Additionally, Jane holds Master's degrees in Counseling Psychology (MA, 2009) and School Counseling (MA, 2013) and is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed School Counselor. Jane has worked as a psychotherapist and behaviorist since 2009 with diverse populations, including children, adolescents and adults with cognitive, emotional and behavioral challenges and disabilities; students with educational diagnoses, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Serious Emotional Disturbance; as well as individuals, couples and families in distress. Jane has been the Durango 9-R Behavior Specialist since 2013, and absolutely loves her job. While not working, you can find Jane trail-running, river rafting, hiking or skiing in the backcountry of the Four Corners region.
