In this course, students will explore conventions related to Spatial Design and Architecture. Through a series of projects, they will explore and develop design ideas for spatial design outcomes while developing their visual communication skills. Students will be encouraged to use a range of techniques to develop their ideas, including sketching, computer modelling and model making (by hand, 3D printer and laser cutting). Design units will centre around topics such as; architectural history, making models, computer design, tiny architecture and innovation.

Through a series of projects, they will explore and develop design ideas for product design outcomes while developing their visual communication skills. Students will be encouraged to use a range of techniques to develop their ideas, including sketching, computer modelling and model making (by hand, 3D printing and laser cutting). Design units will centre around topics such as; solving daily problems, design history, toys, design for the community, fashion design and innovation.
