Students in Year 10 must select AT LEAST ONE Technology option from DVC, TEW, DTG, or FNT. You may select more.
Students will build on and implement the food safety practices from the Year 9 course, and develop greater confidence in the kitchen by following recipes and using a range of new skills. Students will further explore nutrition concepts such as the 4 Food Groups and their contribution to nutrition, and identify and explain the influences of diet related diseases within a New Zealand context. From there, students will plan and develop products suitable to address a nutritional need.
