D323 Turns 50!

It all started with Dunlap Grade School, Dunlap High School, and Wilder Waite. In 1969, those three schools joined to create a unified school district. For 50 years, Dunlap has grown and changed into the district we now know - with five elementary schools, two middle schools, and a high school, and nearly 4,500 students. Let's celebrate the last 50 years of Team Dunlap on the 50th day of school, October 29. This is worth up to 500 points, and evidence should be posted on the Padlet.

If you're not sure what to do, let us help get the ideas flowing:

  • Make a social studies connection and have students investigate how the community has changed throughout the last 50 years.
  • Redesign the Dunlap Coat of Arms. Have students justify their choices for the items chosen to fill the crest. See the picture of the current Coat of Arms and the description of items in the school crest below.
  • Take a picture or short video every day from your classroom for the first 50 days and combine them in the One Second Everyday app or WeVideo.
