Q: What is migrating as part of the Google Workspace Deployment?
A: We will be migrating your email, calendar, and personal contacts from Microsoft 365. Given our significant use of Microsoft applications, we will continue to use and support it within the Duluth Trading environment until early 2025.
Q: Will I still have access to Microsoft 365 tools?
A: All other Microsoft 365 tools and applications, like Word and Excel, will be available after the migration is completed until further notice. The project team is working on the gradual decommissioning of those licenses, and you will be informed in advance of the decision.
Q: Do I have to attend the training for Google?
A: Yes, you should. Attending live training and watching the recordings will be beneficial to you after migration. Preparation is key.
Q: When will I stop receiving emails in Outlook?
A: Once your account has been migrated to Google, all new emails will come through Gmail. The effective date is Monday, January 13.
Q: What will happen to our email history after migration?
A: As part of the migration, email history within the main email file will be migrated as well. Please discuss with your manager if you should have additional questions.
Q: I’ve logged into my Gmail account, why can’t I see all of my messages?
A: This is expected behavior. Emails and calendars will not appear until after the official cutover has been completed. You can expect all emails and calendar events on Monday, January 13.
Q: We used to have a Signature template provided by our company. Will it still be the case?
A: The signature on your email is a setting in your new Gmail account. Information about the formatting of your signature for Duluth Trading Co is contained in the Day 1 Checklist.
Q: Will Notes from Outlook be migrating?
A: No, we encourage you to recreate your Notes in Google Keep. All OneNote users must convert their OneNote files into Google Documents by January 31, 2025. See reference guide for PC and MAC.)
