The 20-yard shuttle (Pro Agility Test) measures an athlete’s lateral quickness, acceleration, and change of direction—key skills for sports that require rapid movement adjustments.
How It Works:
Start in a three-point stance at the centerline.
Sprint 5 yards one way, touch the line, sprint 10 yards the other way, touch the far line, then sprint 5 yards back.
Time is recorded from the first movement to finish.
Why It’s Important:
This test reveals an athlete’s explosiveness, footwork efficiency, balance, and reaction speed. It’s crucial for positions like defensive backs, linebackers, running backs, guards in basketball, and midfielders in soccer/lacrosse.
We use this test to identify weaknesses and customize training, making athletes faster, smoother, and more efficient in their movements.
