Thanks to California Assembly Bill 130, our District is continuing to provide free breakfast and lunch meals for all students through June 30, 2024. While all students are entitled to complimentary meals this school year, the Free and Reduced Lunch program offers additional benefits that can significantly enhance the quality of life for our qualifying families. Benefits include a range of valuable advantages such as free internet access, lower energy costs, reduced mobile phone fees, and more click here.
In addition, school districts like ours receive funding from the state and federal government to better support our low-income students. The funding is partially affected by how many students qualify through the Free and Reduced Lunch program. Every qualifying student count and has a significant impact on yearly funds that support our local schools.
