Hello! My name is Mrs. Suleiman-Santos, but you can call me Mrs. Suleiman. I am so excited to join the Royal Oaks STEAM Academy community as your new school counselor.
I have worked in education for over ten years and held many roles, but becoming a school counselor has truly been my calling. I love supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally, and helping them navigate both challenges and successes. Before joining Royal Oaks, I served as a school counselor in the Santa Ana Unified School District, where I helped build a nationally recognized counseling program. I bring experience in social-emotional learning, conflict resolution, goal-setting, and creating a safe, inclusive environment for every student.
As your school counselor, my goal is simple: to help you feel supported, heard, and confident. Whether you're navigating friendships, having a hard time in a class, feeling overwhelmed, or planning for your future, my door is always open. Together, we will build strategies to solve problems, stay organized, and take care of your well-being.
I also lead small groups, classroom lessons, and parent workshops on topics such as stress management, healthy friendships, study skills, and preparing for middle school and beyond. I believe strongly in equity, kindness, and making sure every student gets what they need to thrive.
A few fun facts about me:
• I love traveling and learning about different cultures.
• I have a puppy named Teddy who keeps me very busy.
• I’m a big foodie—always excited to try new restaurants, so feel free to share recommendations!
• I enjoy being outside in the sunshine and going on little adventures.
Royal Oaks is an amazing place, and I cannot wait to get to know you. I’m here to support you, cheer you on, and help make your time here enjoyable and successful.
