At Royal Oaks STEAM Academy, students will embody academic, social, and emotional success, prepared to excel in postsecondary opportunities and the ever-changing 21st-century world. As the Royal Oaks STEAM Academy school counselor, I aim to implement a high-quality, data-driven, comprehensive school counseling program by delivering academic, social-emotional, college, and career support. I provide equity and access to ensure success for all Royal Oaks students. I am committed to fostering a welcoming, caring, and culturally sustaining school climate to help students prosper and overcome barriers. I ensure all students reach their academic and career goals through evidence-based counseling, individualized planning, and school-wide activities. I aspire to engage, inspire, and challenge all students to reach their maximum potential through a multi-tiered support system. These efforts are made possible through consistent collaboration with staff, families, and the community.

At Royal Oaks STEAM Academy, I value every student for the differences in identity, ideas, and interests they bring to our school. I ensure that all students are treated with dignity and respect. I align my values through communication, advocacy, and action—consistently. I show my leadership by identifying and calling attention to policies and practices that disadvantage particular student groups and use outcome data to advocate for change. I stand with and for every child to support their academic, career, and social-emotional needs and to encourage each student’s maximum development.
