Lubaba`s work on inverse photonic modeling has been accepted for publication in IEEE Access (IF: 3.367). Congratulations Lubaba!

1.Dr. Hossain`s work on 2D material based ISFETs has been accepted in the prestigious Nature Portfoilio Journal npJ 2D materials and Applications (IF: 11.106). The work has been done in collaboration with Prof. Navakanta Bhat`s research group in CeNSE, IISc.

2.Fahimul Islam Sakib and Md. Azizul Hasan have their paper accepted in IEEE Transactions in Electron Devices (IF: 2.917). This is one of the top-most journals in the semiconductor device field. Congratulations Sakib and Azizul ! This is the second paper, published in IEEE T-ED, from the Department of EEE, University of Dhaka!

3. Fahimul Islam Sakib and Md. Azizul Hasan have their paper accepted in Engineering Research Express. This is new journal from Institute of Physics (IOP), UK. The impact factor is not available yet. Congratulations Sakib and Azizul !

1. Dr. Hossain gave an invited talk titled "Nanophotonics in Biosensing and Solar Energy Harvesting" organized by the BracU Optics and Photonics Society-OPTICA Student Chapter. Link

Sadiq Shahriyar Nishat and Md. Jayed Hossain have their paper accepted in the highly reputed ACS journal- The Journal of Physcial Chemistry C (IF: 4.126). Congratulations Jayed and Nishat! This is the first paper by any faculty, as a corresponding author, from EEE DU in the ACS journal !

Advisor, Optica Bangladesh Student Branch Chapter at University of Dhaka:

Dr. Hossain will officially serve as the faculty advisor of the Optica Bangalesh Student Branch Chapter at University of Dhaka. Sarah Cynthia will be serving as the chapter president.

Advisor, IEEE EDS Student Branch Chapter University of Dhaka:

Dr. Hossain will officially serve as the faculty advisor/branch counselor of the newly formed IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS) Student Branch Chapter at University of Dhaka.

Dr. Hossain will serve as an organizing comittee member of the 4th IEEE International Conference on Telecommunications and Photonics (ICTP) to be held in December 22-24, 2021 in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

2021 OSA Optical Sensors and Sensing Congress:

Sarah Cynthia`s paper accepted for oral presentation at the 2021 OSA Optical Sensors and Sensing Congress. Congratulations Sarah! The work will be presented on July 22, 2021.

MRS Spring 2021 Meeting:

Md. Azizul Hasan and Fahimul Islam Sakib have their abstract accepted for oral presentation in the 2021 Virtual MRS Spring Meeting and Exhibit - Symposium EL09-Ferroelectricity and Negative Capacitance—Fundamentals, Applications and Controversies. Congratulations Sakib and Azizul! This is the first time, a paper from  Department of EEE, University of Dhaka, will be presented at the MRS Meeting. The work will be presented on April 19, 2021.

Sameia Zaman (Lecturer, EEE, BUET) gets admission and full funding for pursuing PhD, starting in Fall 2021, in the department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. Congratulations Sameia!

NYAB Membership:

Dr. Hossain has been selected as a member of the National Young Academy of Bangladesh (NYAB). Only 20 members were selected out of 97 Bangladeshi applicants,from both home and abroad. Lindau Meeting:
