The Regional Rollout on the Protocols and Guidelines for Planning and Managing DSWD Events and Workshop on Event Directing, Hosting, and Ushering is scheduled to take place on March 3 and 4, 2026, at the DSWD FO VI Operation Center on M.H. Del Pilar St., Molo, Iloilo City. This two-day intensive training aims to gather designated focal persons and staff from various units within the Field Office VI to standardize the agency's event management procedures. By conducting this rollout, the department ensures that all regional personnel are aligned with the official national protocols for organizing high-level meetings, community payouts, and official ceremonies.
The primary objective of this event is to institutionalize a unified "playbook" that ensures every DSWD activity is executed with professional precision, fiscal responsibility, and administrative consistency. Participants will undergo specialized workshops to master the technicalities of event directing, the art of professional hosting, and the nuances of VIP ushering and guest relations. Ultimately, the rollout seeks to enhance the capacity of staff to represent the Department's institutional identity effectively, ensuring that every public interaction reinforces the DSWD’s commitment to prompt and compassionate service.
Pursuant to the memorandum from the Secretary on the strategy to ensure Ease of Doing Social Welfare Services, all DSWD Officials and Personnel are directed to support and adhere to the DSWD Quality Policy and the DSWD Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015 standards). This is where the Enhanced Customer Experience Skills Training enters the scene.
The conduct of the Customer Experience Skills Training for the Public Sector is an action to institutionalize service quality standards in the Department. Moreover, the branding of "Angel in Red Vests" will be integrated into this training. This campaign introduces the dedicated individuals behind DSWD's efforts, committed to serving those in need with dedication and selflessness, and striving to make a positive impact on society. The goal of Angels in Red Vests is to instill a sense of pride among DSWD social workers and to inspire others to join and become part of DSWD. Therefore, the integration of this campaign into the Customer Experience Skills Training will assist DSWD personnel in delivering excellent customer service, embodying the characteristics of the Angels in Red Vests.

The Administrative Cluster of DSWD FO-VI composed of the Financial Management Division, Administrative Division, and Human Resource Management and Development Division recently held a team-building activity cum learning session last December 1-3, 2023 at Solina Beach Resort, Carles, Iloilo. The Learning and Development Section (LDS) has successfully conducted the Skills Enhancement Training for DSWD Field Office VI administrative support staff. The two-day training was conducted in two batches and were participated by administrative support staff from the different divisions, programs, and sections of DSWD FO6.

The Regional Information and Communications Technology Management Section (RICTMS) conducted skills enhancement training for middle managers and technical staff of DSWD Field Office VI last June 28, 2022 to July 1, 2022. The said activity provided learning intervention to concerned staff on the different ICT topics including cyber-security, Google Workspace, service automation, and more. A representative from the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) - Mr. Joel P. Garcera, MMIT, also imparted knowledge to participants along cyber security awareness.
