Activities where technical knowledge are imparted to DSWD staff and/or LGUs or another agency or organization to equip them with necessary skills and knowledge for effective and efficient disaster response and management.

At the end of each activity, the participants shall be equipped with knowledge on new laws, policies, and trends in relation to disaster risk reduction and management and develop team camaraderie.
Specifically, at the end of each of the four-day activity, the participants will be able to:
1. Be oriented with Administrative Order No. 2, series of 2020 or the Enhanced Guidelines on the Deployment of the Quick Response Team including the roles and responsibilities of the members of QRTs before, during, and after the deployment;
2. Be oriented with the salient features of Republic Act 10821 or the Children’s Emergency Relief and Protection Act and its implications in the disaster operations of the Field Office;
3. Be oriented with the new Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center Reporting Guideline and to enhance their knowledge and technical know-how on the disaster response operations monitoring and information center (DROMIC) reporting template;
5. Be knowledgeable on the updated Contingency Plans for Earthquake in response to the BIG ONE, and other response plans of the Field Office;
6. To meet their Quick Response Team co-members, develop team-camaraderie and enhance team spirit; and
7. To create a platform where they can immediately coordinate with each other to enhance FO-NCR’s system of disaster preparedness and response.
Pursuant to RA 10121 and DSWD MC No.10/AO No.10 series of 2018, the Department of Social Welfare and Development through Disaster Response Management Division are mandated to provide trainings on Camp Coordination and Camp Management and Internally Displaced Persons Protection.
The target participants for the CCCM and IDP Protection are the Quick Response Team of FO-NCR and the local counterparts as part of the preparedness measures in the event of a disaster that will require the proper knowledge and skills in responding to disaster incidents.
