Prerequisites: Biology, Chemistry, Principles of Health Science, and Health Science Theory Credit: 2

The Practicum Course furthers the learning progression of the health science student by providing an invaluable opportunity to see firsthand what it’s like to work as a healthcare professional. Students divide their time between the classroom and the real world. Students wear scrub uniforms and engage in activities such as community health education as well as job shadowing at nursing homes and local Seton Hospitals.


Application and CPR Certification are also required for successful admission to this program. Approved students will be required to acquire CPR Certification as well as provide proof of immunization records and TB testing. Drug test and background checks required.
