About The Teacher

Hi!  My name is Trish Ash.  I am a a primary Reading Specialist at the Wycallis Primary Center.  Education and vegetable gardening are my passion.  I have been working in the Title One Reading room since October of 2021 as a substitute, so I am excited to now be working with the bright students and team of educators at Wycallis Primary Center.  Maria Hosey and I have worked closely together in these past two years and are ready to continue to help all students realize the magic of reading!

I earned a Bachelor's degree from King's College in Elementary Education and a Mater's Degree in Education with a Specialization in Reading from Misericordia University.  In the beginning of my career, I worked as a Training and Organizational Development Specialist at Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania.  

I am married with 3 amazing children, Michelle, Christopher and Matthew.  I live in one of the most beautiful places to catch an evening sunset, Sweet Valley.  My life has been filled with volunteering for Boy Scouts of Northeastern PA, Sports team booster clubs, the Lake Lehman Last Knight Lock In Committee and Gate of Heaven Church. My favorite author is Dr. Seuss and my favorite book is The Lorax.  Our family loves visiting Disney World and cruising.   A fun fact about our family is that we LOVE to tap maple trees and make maple syrup from the sap we collect.
