AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS

Here you will find all the important information regarding financial aid for post-secondary school.

There is money to be found to help you reach your post secondary goals, whether it be to purchase tools, footwear, pay tuition etc., but you must do the research.  Scholarships are not just based on marks. Many are for students who are in financial need or for students who have demonstrated leadership, active community or school involvement and/or have a special circumstance.

Laura Secord  Secondary School has a number of scholarship and awards that are given out at graduation. Many of the awards are listed on the DSBN website. The school's Scholarship Committee selects recipients based on the eligibility of individual students and the criteria of the award.

Please complete the Student Profile Sheet if you would like to be considered for the Secord and DSBN Awards; Many scholarships require reference letters, please use the Reference Request form when asking teachers for reference letters.
