If they wake up feeling ill- please keep them home.
If they have fever over 100 F they must be seen by a health care provider (HCP) -a pediatrician or go to an urgent care center. They will determine what tests need to be done, a rapid Covid will most likely be done, sometimes Strep test as well. Keep in mind if your child does NOT get a rapid test and test gets sent out ( 2-3 days for results) that child needs to be kept home until results are determined. Prohealth on Main Street ( near Panera- go to back parking lot) has the Rapid test available.
If they have sore throat, body aches, fatigue/sleepiness, cough , headaches -ANY of these symptoms necessitates seeing HCP; a note with any test results is needed to return to school .
Please send in a portable hand sanitizer and packet of tissues so your child can have at their desk for their use. Please remind children need for sanitizer especially before eating their lunch- germs and viruses on their hands have free ride on the food they touch to go right inside the mouth and can lead to colds, flu and strep.
