Your preference for which of these you use will be partially determined by what type of device you use AND what type of device your friends or family use AND the quality of your connection to the internet - all these 'new' communication methods are based on using the internet to carry the Audio &/or Video signal.

If you don't have Broadband and WiFi then many will not be available - if you only have a basic, (limited &/or slow), broadband connection you may be better of using voice &/or text messaging which can still be done in groups.
