Japan Entrance COVID-19 PCR Testing

Getting PCR tested at our clinic

  • PCR Test：$170 (Those who have qualifying insurances, we will bill this to your insurance company）

  • Documentation Fee：$40 (Insurance will not cover this fee)

  • Our COVID-19 PCR tests are performed by the nasopharyngeal method

  • As we send our tests to a laboratory, we cannot guarantee the results to be reported to us within 72 hours.

  • Please make an appointment with us AFTER you have booked your flight

  • PCR test should be performed within 72 hours of your flight

    • Example of acceptable times:

      • Flight: Friday 1:00 AM

      • Schedule PCR Test AFTER: Tuesday 1:00 AM


After making appointment through phone note the following:

  • Bring a Japanese Passport

  • Bring an eligible insurance card

  • Patients DO NOT have to bring the "Certification of Testing for COVID-19" as we will provide this

  • Call our office when you get to the parking lot

  • Go to Suite 175 (NOT OUR CLINIC)

Getting PCR tested at another clinic - No appointment necessary

  • For those that want us to only fill out the document for entrance to Japan, please make sure that the following are specified on the laboratory test result:

    • Method of collection: nasopharyngeal swab OR saliva

    • Testing Method

      • RT-PCR

      • LAMP

      • TMA

      • TRC

      • Smart Amp

      • NEAR

      • Next generation sequence

    • Collection time

    • Result reported time

  • If all of these reports are not specified, we will NOT be able to fill out your documents.


After you have obtained your COVID-19 PCR test result, email the report to: staff@droharaclinic.com

  • Call us to confirm if we will be able to transcribe the report to the "Certification of Testing for COVID-19"

  • If confirmed by one of our staff, let us know when you will be picking it up

  • Bring a Japanese Passport

  • Call our office when you get to the parking lot

  • Go to Suite 170A (GO TO CLINIC)
