For this assignment we had to use objects within our class to try to take different pictures while using the aspect of photography.
For this project we had to create a stop motion while including all aspects of our classes. In this video we had to solve a social injustice issue within an ancient civilization. We also had to include chemistry and Spanish within our video.
In visual arts we are learning about fibers. While learning about fibers we have done several assignments, including our weaving assignment. We weaving two strings that are made from fibers.
For our textile project we made a coaster, a cup, a straw, a bowl and a spoon. It is related to chemistry because the bonds in the plarn are easier to break down than other bonds if it was made out of unrecyclable materials and it benefits the environment because it can create less pollution because it is easier to be broken down. One principal design we used was pattern because we had to make sure everything was symmetrical. We made it by cutting plastic bags, after that we have two stands and we do it together. Once we had three pieces we started to braid them. The most difficult part was actually trying to put our textile together, so making sure the formation of our cup was how we wanted it. Next time I would probably decide to do a different method, so instead of braiding I might weave it. From this project I learned the time and effort it takes to create plarn and actually make something out of it.
For this assignment we had to incorporate a molecule into a creative design. I decided to have a living room setting and on the television I put my molecule on there. It would make it seem like the two people were watching tv about H20 which was how I was able to incorporate my original tinkercad model. One career that would be able to use my design is an interior designer, they could use the digital tools to see how they would want their next design to look. One principle of design I used was emphasis because most of the colors in my artwork are neutral but the molecule includes very vibrant colors.
For this project, we had to create an artwork that involves and chemical reaction. For my artwork, I decided to make a Takashi Murakami Flower tray out of clay. To create clay a chemical process is used. The reactants are Silica(2SiO2), Alumina(Al2O3), and Water(2H2O). The product for these reactants is clay which means this is a synthesis chemical reaction. The finished product of clay has been fired twice. When it is fired the clay becomes a light pink color. When it is fired the matter in the clay turns to carbon dioxide, fluorine, and sulfur dioxide. One thing I did well during this project was being able to use what we did in art a couple of weeks ago to make my finished product. One thing I would do differently is I would make an art piece that can be used in the future, like a bowl or cup.
The cubist style relates to the subject matter we are showing in our work because in our art piece we are showing strong emphasis on Black Live Matters and we also show drawings on how the government is raising their prices which increases poverty. In our art piece, we use different shades and colors on the things we want to stand out the most. We also added shapes to make our art piece a little more complex. Our piece relates to the Cubist style because we use strong shading methods which also help show emphasis on our topic.
The Guernica style also relates to the subject matter because we use the different lines to break up our artwork but it doesn’t take away from it too much. We use a variety of lines but while doing this we still keep a pattern so it doesn't get too confusing. Similar to the Guernica style we used a darker background so the images we drew could stick out way more. Along with the cubist style we also use different shapes to show abstract
