A limit is the value of f(x) as x is approaching a value.
There are multiple ways to find a limit you can use the substitution method where you substitute the value approaching x into the problem. Two other methods you can use are the table and graph methods where you input the problem into a graph or table and find the necessary value that appears when you approach a certain value on the x-axis.
There are three different types of muscle cell types: Skeletal, Smooth, and Cardiac. The structures and functions of each cell type differ. Skeletal muscles are connected to bones or skin and are responsible for the body's voluntary movement, some characteristics include striations, multiple nuclei and mitochondria, and a high energy requirement. Smooth muscles are found lining internal organs where it controls the movement of substances throughout the body. Unlike skeletal muscles, smooth muscles are involuntary, do not fatigue, are not striated, and contract slowly and rhythmically. Cardiac muscles are built by branching chains of cells connected by porous intercalated discs found only in the heart responsible for heart function. In so, cardiac muscles are involuntary and can not fatigue. Similar to skeletal muscles cardiac muscles are striated and can be strengthened with stretching. The structure of cardiac muscles is similar to smooth muscles as they both contain a single nucleus and are controlled by the endocrine and nervous systems.
Neurons are similar to trees in that they share similar structures and functions. Axon terminals are considered the roots of a tree sharing the responsibility of communicating with other trees and neurons in close proximity. The axon is much like the tree's trunk regulating the flow of information between the top and bottom of the structures. Myelin sheaths are the tree bark of the axon providing protection and insulation to speed the flow of information. The dendrites are comparable to the branches and main purpose are to receive information from the surrounding environment.
Explain how your actions, decisions, or outcomes in the simulation relate to the badge. Use specific examples.
This badge is based on your weekend choices, representing my choice to spend my weekend doing chores around my apartment. As my least picked option, I would receive penalties like dust build-up and busted pipes, costing me money to fix.
What did you learn about personal finance, decision-making, or yourself through the process of earning this badge?
Earning this badge I learned that
How might the lessons learned from earning this badge apply to your future financial decisions or life in general?"
A lesson I learned from this badge is to schedule and plan out my weekends. When I would suffer a penalty I would focus on that area the next weekend, and because of that, I would receive a penalty in another area. I remember I was trying to remediate my house after a penalty and so I chose the option of chores two weekends in a row, and because of that, I was unable to socialize that month. I was charged more money for this because I missed out on my friend's birthday and had to take them out as an apology.
If you had to lose 1 sense, which would you give up and why?
If I had to lose one sense, I would choose to lose my sense of taste. I chose taste because every other sense has a significant impact on day-to-day life. With losing taste, it's harder to put my life at risk than with something like being blind or deaf.. Losing taste, I can still act like eating without having cravings of sweets all the time.
