In 12th grade Advanced Composition we were assigned the Epic Story project. In this project my group and I would write an extensive story, turn the story into a screenplay, make a trailer for the screenplay, and then make a short film to expand on the trailer. Due to my prior film class and club experience, I already knew most of the stuff that we had to do for the project. However, it helped me learn more in those areas. I learned more about how to make a camera shot list. This is a list of all the shots that your movie will have. The list consisted of a shot description, shot type/angle, the type of movement the camera would do, and when and where the shot would be. We would also list what cast would be in the shot. My hobbies of film and entertainment would significantly benefit from these skills that I learn and that is exactly what I intend to use them for. Like many other projects that piqued my interest, this was both fun and challenging for my group and I.
