World Literature really focused on forms of writing and different authors and themes. We read a lot of text that required us to go into deeper thought about what the author was really trying to convey.
In World Literature, we watched a lot of TED Talks and had a few guest speakers in class. This was to get us ready for our empowerment speeches. Everyone had to write a speech that related to them that empowered other people and include what benefit and knowledge they gained from their experience. My speech was on individuality and how everyone is unique and should not be judged by their uniqueness.
We were reading the speeches of Brutus and Marc Antony for the death of Julius Caesar. We were assigned a partner and each of us recited one of the speeches. There were judges, and the person who recited it the best recieved a 100 on the assignment. I read Antony's speech and won .
