Project ENGAGES

What is Project ENGAGES?

Project ENGAGES is a high school science education program developed by Georgia Tech in partnership with seven minority-serving public high schools in the City of Atlanta. During June 2021, I was at "bootcamp" where I was taught lots of different science subjects to aid me in my research, which I began full time in July. Throughout the 2021-22 school year, I worked on my internship and participated in events such as Regional Science Fair and Nation Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Convention.

Mentor Matching

This is a photo of me and my mentor, Nmachi Anumba, on the day we were matched. Due to Covid Restrictions, we had to wear masks, but we were able to meet in person before continuing the program virtually. With her I will be completing my study on the effect of Anesthesia on QPPs in Rat Brain fMRI.
