In geometry I applied transformations by designing a video game with 3 levels. After designing my video game, I turned the video game into an animation. Our first assignment was to create a game on a board with our own character. First we chose our character, then we chose all of the backgrounds we would use for the different levels. Lastly, we created the stages and steps. We could only move our character by using the 4 transformations which are dilations, translations, rotations, and reflections. Each level had different requirements to meet for each level to be finished created.
In Geometry I learned about the properties of parallelograms and used the properties to design a piece of stained glass. The inspiration for my stained glass was the season of Christmas and our other inspiration was just the shapes and all of the possibilities that came with them. The shapes I included in my design were squares, rhombus', rectangles, and parallelograms. I made sure that my parallelograms abided by the properties of parallelograms which are opposite sides are parallel, opposite sides are congruent, opposite angles are congruent, consecutive angles are supplementary, diagonals bisect each other. Also to the left is me and my partners progress and informational slide that went along with our stained glass project.
