I participated in volleyball for my 9th grade year. The season was slightly different due to COVID-19, but it was the first sport I did that truly required team effort and cooperation. It was the first start I had to get out of my shell, as it opened me to many people I had never met. Although I'd never do it again, I think it was something I benefitted from, despite the conditions.
