This is my identity portrait. The identities I focused on in the portrait was my religion, race, where I'm from, and what's important to me. I chose these images because I thought they best relay the message without you having to think very in-depth. I'm most conscious however about my race and gender in society. I know just because I'm an African American male, the odds are already against me and I'm very aware of it when making everyday decisions. I have a picture of a black power image, this is important to me my identity in today's conflict with BLM and society. The city picture is the city of Atlanta, which is where I grew up and have spent much my of 17 years of life. I'm Christian so I inputted the image of the cross over my body. Lastly, I added the image of a family because the ones I call family are very important to me.
