This is our project on Penelope from the Odyssey. Penelope is the Queen of Ithaca and is forced to be a single mom after Odysseus leaves for war in Troy. Random men start to invade her home when Odysseus is gone, trying to marry her. She is very sad and is starting to become hopeless if Odysseus will return. We compared her to a spouse of a person in the military. Being alone and having to raise kids or pay bills by themselves.
