In this project I learned how to use many tools and useful tips. One of the tools was the table saw and it is used to cut your wood to the length you need. Another tool was the CNC router/ Machine this machine uses bits to carve designs into wood and you have to code it to do the things you want because an errors will be your fault. So you should make sure your measurements are correct and you use your x and y axis correctly. the last tool that I liked the most was the orbital sander. I liked it more than all of the other tools because of its practicality you can use it to round or define the edges of your box It can also get rid of any rough or spots of discoloration.
Here is my finished fully functional robot. It is made to look like a pig from the widely popular game Minecraft. I decided to also incorporate a motor that would make the head spin as seen in the video.
The goal of this project, run by a Georgia Tech professor, is to make a machine learning module that can tell a student's name in our class just by receiving a picture of them and doing it accurately every time. The data we used to train the model is the millions of pictures of each student, so that the computer would be able to recognize each student by their matrix. The model takes an image of you and tests it with its prior knowledge to best match the picture with the name of a student. It can accurately do this because it is trained multiple times with each image in the dataset, and they all have a name assigned to them.
The Launcher starts the game by being pulled back compressing the spring and when released puts the ball into play. The targets increase the score when hit by the pinball, and so does the bumper but the bumper also launches the ball by closing and pinching it away both of these things trigger their own LED strips. The flippers react to a button and when pressed the solenoid attached goes forward flipping the flippers. The servo spins through the game and the ball return decreases the score by 1 when the ball comes in contact with it. Lastly our unique mechanical component spins whenever the ball goes under it.
