Columbian Exchange Cooking Project
The colombian exchange was when people from the eastern hemisphere took a boat over to the western hemisphere and “traded” crops and animals.
The event that caused the columbian exchange was the muslims controll over the silk road (a tradng path) because people were scared of them they were trying to find another way to asia so they tried to go around but ended up docking in america.
Things like sugar, tobacco, rice/other grains, potatoes ect. Were transferred to the other hemisphere
One of my favorite breakfast foods is avocado toast. Avocados came from the western hemisphere and wheat which is used to make bread is from the eastern hemisphere.
In our pbl prodject where we eah bright an ingredient or two i brought rice and oil. When cooking i made the bacon and help clean everything up.
Deeply rooted symbol
Deeply Rooted was a whole grade level project for 2nd quarter, which sought to answer how symbols can reflect cultural differences and similarities. We researched the use of symbols around the world. in art class we made paper which we used to make symbols and we made borax crystals. i made a crystal rose. after i made my papper i painted an infinity symbole and ancircle with a dash through it with fake blood dripping from it to represent that nothung lasts forever.

In art class we made pottery tiles that were based on elements. to make this i first made the shape out of clay then i let it dry and once it was dried we fired it in the kiln. after it was fired it was ready to glaze. then we fired it one last time and it was done. my element was arsenic. arsenic is used to make poison so thats what i put on my tile.

In chemistry I made a pour painting. This relates to density because the different paints have different densities. The different densities are how the paints don't just blend all together. In my painting the darker blue pint had the greatest density, this caused it to mostly stay in the middle of the canvas instead of spreading out like the other colors.
