In geometry I applied transformations by designing a video game with 3 levels. After designing my video game, I turned the video game into an animation. The goal of my game was to escape the laboratory . In order to complete my game, translations, rotations, reflections, and dilations had to be used. It was important throughout the process that we remembered the differences for each transformation. Transitions- sliding the shape over/up or down a # of units. Rotations- spinning the shape around. Reflections- reflecting the shape over the x or y-axis. Dilations- scaling up or down the shape.
Reading Sundiata really resonated with me because it’s about someone who didn’t start out as the strongest or most obvious leader, but still became great. Like Sundiata, I’ve faced moments where people doubted what I was capable of, or when things didn’t come easily to me. His story reminded me that growth takes time, and that staying grounded and determined matters more than always being perfect. It also made me think about legacy—how what we do now, even when it feels small, can shape something bigger later on. That mindset has helped me push through challenges in school and life with more confidence and purpose.
