The character designs use bright, vibrant colors that aren’t too overwhelming which helps them to match the maps perfectly. With simple but effective shading, the characters gain energy and emotion without feeling too detailed. The shadows and highlights of the characters and their abilities really pop. The maps follow a similar style, using vibrant colors that make it easy to see what’s happening and keep the game interesting. In all Marvel Rivals really captures that classic Marvel comic book style.Â
I noticed that the game is designed to be very flashy, detailed, comic-book-like, and very colorful to make you feel like you're actually in the game. The sound design in the game is really good and so are the fx effects of the abilities and the map destruction. The only thing I think may be a challenge for new players is deciding who to play as, this game has a lot of different characters, and maybe a skill gap, but that happens in any pvp game. But other than that, I think that its pretty easy to navigate and go through the game because it explains almost everything to you, or it's self-explanatory. I realized that the characters are animated and made well to look like their comic book counterparts, and you,, the player have full control over your character with you being able to move your character in any direction or way that you want to.

A talented soccer player from a small town in Colombia is drafted to play for a professional team in Britain, putting him into a completely different environment. As he adjusts to the fast-paced city life and cultural differences, his loud, competitive, and arrogant personality leads to clashes with his new teammates. Wearing the team’s yellow and black jersey, he’s driven by an unwavering ambition to prove himself, but his ego often causes issues which if it continues it could cost him his spot on the team.

What was your experience like using Meshy? What did you enjoy about it? What did you not like about it?
Using Meshy was pretty cool. I liked how easy it was to create a 3D character just by typing in a description or uploading an image. It made the process really fast, which was awesome. It was fun to see the AI take my ideas and turn them into something visual right away. On the downside, sometimes the characters felt a little generic or didn’t quite match the details I had in mind, which was a bit frustrating.
What are your thoughts on using AI for character design?
I think AI is a great helper when it comes to character design. It’s perfect for brainstorming or speeding things up. But I still feel like the best designs come from people because humans add emotion, creativity, and meaning that AI just can’t replicate yet. So, I see AI as a tool, not a replacement.Â
What games incorporate AI models for their design?
A lot of games use AI in different ways. For example, No Man’s Sky uses AI for procedural world generation, and some big-budget games use AI to help with animations or textures. But I think it’s important that people are still making the key creative decisions. Games mostly made by people feel more personal and meaningful. If a whole game were made completely by AI, it might miss that special human touch.Â
AR is adding something virtual to real life while VR is creating a completely new and virtual world. AR can be used inside of gaming to create characters or items appear in a real world setting like in Pokemon Go. AR is useful because it makes learning, shopping, and gaming more interactive and engaging. However, it can be costly, require strong devices, and sometimes cause privacy issues or eye strain. AR can also be used outside of gaming to set up and design your house like how you can use the AR feature on Amazon to see if something can fit inside your house like a desk or table.
In this assignment our task was to design and make a 3d character on tinkercad. To do this I used the square shape which I would change the color of and also how long or wide it was to create a simple version of mario.
