I was born and raised in Atlanta. I've been attending Drew since the 5th grade, but before then I lived in Virginia for about 5 years. I didn't like living there away from family and friends, so my mother made sacrifices and we moved back to Atlanta. While attending Drew has opened my eyes to so many things. It has helped me see things creatively and made me tap into my artistry. The harp and dance are activities I love and this school has allowed me to explore it and learn to love it.
One of my goals was to get accepted into the University of Houston, and that goal has been achieved! I want to pursue a career in American Sign Language and in that, I want to help get American Sign Language taught as an enrichment in high schools, but the first step to this goal is obtaining my bachelor's degree.
