1A Engineering Concepts Prompt 1 8/1

Soldering is when you melt the solder onto a metal conductor to connect a circuit to a wire.
the purpose of soldering is to electrically connect 2 opponents to each other.
The melting point of a substance is the temperature at which it changes state from solid to liquid

a. Copper because of how it does not melt it onto these items

b. I know because when I used the solder it would melt almost immediately if the tip is in good shape and when you put the iron on the copper it does not melt.

2B African American Studies Week 1 8/3

When I first joined the class I would not think that it interested me as much as it did. In the class, I expected to learn just about African American but we are also learning about identity. I do wish to also learn more about African Americans as I may not know as much as I should know. I am not embarrassed to express that because I did not think to care about all of that I just knew I was black. This class will teach me better and more about my culture and where my ancestors come from. I want to take in all that information and potentially use it in my life later.

Within the whole entire pico code. I made it so that each code was connected to a GP# and it was very organized to read. The point of the code was for the led's to choose each other on our pico.

We used the mirror tool, the dimension tool, the offset tool, and the fillet tool.

Free Form Tool practice, for this we had to use Linear Pattern, Mirror, Offset, and Fillet

1) The normal force is proportional to weight = mass x gravity

2) The wheels will have friction that moves forward because instead of a square it is a circle and ass it rolls the wheel goes backwards making the friction forward

a) I can change the texture of the wheel to make it grip more on the surface. Or I could increase the mass of the wheels to make them more down on the surface.

Research Human Anatomy Oct 25th

All three types of the muscles skeletal, cardiac, and smooth play roles in our body movement and function, each relying on energy in the form of ATP to contract and do its tasks. Skeletal muscles, which are attached to bones, have a striated and or striped look and are voluntary, this allows us to move our bodies in different ways, like walking or lifting. Cardiac muscle, found exclusively in the heart is also striated, but it is involuntarily. It contracts rhythmically to pump blood and keep circulation without effort. Lastly is, smooth muscle which is in the walls of our hollow organs like the stomach and the blood vessels. Different from skeletal and cardiac muscle, it has a smooth and non-striated look and also is involuntarily, controlling important functions like digestion and regulating our blood flow. Each muscle type is used and adapted for its different roles, contributing to our body's overall function and health.

Critical Thinking Question - If you had to lose I sense, which would you give up and why?

I believe I would eliminate my proprioception sense. Although it’s crucial for our common sense, determining what fits us, I’d rather retain all my other senses.
