My name is Donald Humphrey, and I am a 17-year-old student at Drew Charter School. I’ve always been someone who enjoys thinking creatively and finding ways to improve the world around me. That mindset led me to discover a strong interest in architecture, where design and problem-solving come together to shape how people live and interact. I hope to one day earn a PhD in architecture so I can focus on sustainable design and innovative urban planning. In this essay, I will explore what sparked my passion, the goals I’m working toward, and how I plan to make a positive impact through architecture.
