I have played softball since I was 11 years old. Originally when my mom told me that she signed me up I was kicking and screaming, however it has become one of the biggest parts of my life. I played on my first travel ball team in 6th grade and now I am about to finish out my last ever travel ball season. I play outfield because there is nothing I love more than running for a ball in the air and making a crazy dive or jump to catch it. Softball has taught me teamwork, friendship, and perseverance. Through many slumps and injuries, I never gave up and I learned that throuhgout life there will always be obstacles in your way trying to stop you but you always have to keep going.
On the weekends I work in a restaurant called The Argonaut. I am a hostess so my job is to greet people into the restaurant and walk them to their table. In this work place, I am the first person people see as they walk through the door, therefore, I am the first impression. I have learned how important it is to greet people with a friendly face and converse with them. I have met the greatest people at this job and made freidnships that will last a lifetime.
