In this assignment, we were required to make a collage of the different aspects of Cuba in Spanish. Some of these include its flag, national flower, and national bird.

At the start of every class, we fill out our calendario, or calendar. In this slide, we practice talking about the current date, season, weather, and time.

In General Health, me and my teammates were tasked with creating a presentation about the parts, functions, and common diseases of the digestive system. One limitation was that much of the information was to be remembered and presented orally, with limited information kept on the slides.

In this activity, we were given the links to various sites which provide information about health. We must go through each site and evaluate it's authenticity to determine whether to trust that site for medical information. This procedure includes looking for sources in articles, looking for names behind the sites, and looking for sponsors.

In AP Human Geography, we studied different coming-of-age rituals around the world. We examined the different cultures and countries they came from, as well as whether they applied to girls, boys, or both. Some were very modern traditions, such as America's Sweet Sixteen parties, while others were very old folk cultures, such as Islam's Khatam Al Koran.

As another component of my super hero project, I wrote the origin story of my hero, Cordelia. In this writing, we must talk about our hero's version of The Hero's Journey. This includes the call to adventure, new allies and enemies, and the gaining of powers.

During this unit, our class read the Odyssey. Throughout the story, our class analyzed and discussed the actions of Odysseus and whether they were "heroic." We also discussed our own personal definitions of heroism. At the end of the unit, we wrote an opinionated essay about whether we believed Odysseus was a hero.

In Technology, we were tasked with creating our own escape room using various Google programs such as Google Slides, Google Draw, Google Forms, and more. We also frequently used embedded links to move from room to room.

In Technology, we were given a client, Gared Smith, and were tasked with designing smart clothes that best fit to their tastes and personal needs. The main purpose of our clothing was focused on helping Gared deal with his high blood pressure, including shoes which track your heartrate and a shirt with arm bands that take your blood pressure with a tap.

In Physics, we were given the book Who Was Isaac Newton? by Janet B. Pascal and instructed to create a book report discussing and summarizing the book. In this book, we are taught about the life of Isaac Newton, his accomplishments, and his scientific discoveries in order to contribute to our current subject, forces and laws of motion.

In Physics, we were tasked with researching a topic of our choice having to do with Nuclear Chemistry. My partner, Alia Hampton, and I decided to research the Chernobyl Disaster and the reactors using in the Chernobyl Power Plant.

In this project, we were tasked with making a poster illustrating at least two of our favorite amusement park rides. Then, we must film ourselves describing the elements of art and principles of design used in our poster in Spanish.

I wrote and presented a script describing the highs and lows of my spring break. I also designed a poster based around my narrative.

At the beginning of the year, we designed our own 10 minute warm-up workout, consisting of various types of activities such as aerobic exercises, abdominal exercises, and lower body stretches. We then performed a different classmate's warmup at the beginning of every class.

For this activity, we researched 12 common sports injuries. We were meant to find out what they are, their cause, symptoms, treatment, and prevention.

After reading the Odyssey, Beowulf, and Sundiata this year, we were asked who we believe is the most heroic. In this argumentative essay, I compared the heroes of Odysseus, Beowulf, and Sundiata, then provided evidence about who I believe is the most heroic.

In our PBL video, we had to talk about a variety of things relating to different subjects. From our ride's connection to the literary work we were reading, to the physics behind our ride, to the cultural foods behind our ride.

In Technology, we were asked to create a small animatronic with various moving parts and technical lighting. We also had to code these movements with the Hummingbird Snap application. Me and my partner, Waverly Alcock, made a small fortune telling rabbit with glowing eyes, moving ears, and a ticket dispenser.

Every week of the semester, we were given one hour to pursue an interest of our choice. The goal was to have a marker of our progress to present showing how much we had learned by the end of the semester. I chose to learn how to make a video essay for my Genius Hour project, and was able to produce a short video including my own writing, illustrations, editing, etc.
