About Your Drew Experience

I came to Charles R. Drew Charter school in the 5th grade. My beginning school life, I was homeschooled so you can probably infer that Drew was a new and different experience for me. I came to drew, knowing nobody except my brother and sister, who were in a different building, and although it was new and scary for me, I fell in love with the school within the first day. I love how interactive activities are incorporated into the classroom on an everyday basis. I loved growing up in a majority black school with such a supportive community because the environment really made me into the ambitous intutive person I am today. The teachers are all so committed to the students and the work they do that it changes the whole learning experience for everyone.
