We now have four DPS Schools with dedicated Outdoor Education programs! In our three elementary schools, students attend outdoor education class during their regular special rotation, much like they attend art, music, and PE. In our high school program, students elect to take Adventure Ed as an alternative PE course. Read below to find where these programs are located and to learn more about them!

Merrick-Moore Elementary is our original elementary Outdoor Education program. With both an Outdoor Education teacher and a teaching and learning coach helping classroom teachers to get outside - it is a rare day you don't see students learning in the outdoors. DPS' sole high school program takes Northern High School students out of their comfort zone and introducing them to activities such as paddling, shelter building, cooking, rock climbing, and fishing. Make sure to follow along on their Instagram @northern_ode
