Cadet of the Month is a special honor in JROTC given to a cadet who works hard and shows good leadership and discipline. The yellow cord on the shoulder shows this achievement, and the ribbon adds to the pride of earning it. This award means the cadet sets a good example for others and shows what it means to be a true leader in the program.
