The culinary program at Vista Academy is designed to introduce students to all aspects of the culinary industry. Students will be taught kitchen production skills, dining room, and catering skills. Once students have completed their prerequisites, they have the opportunity to take courses in the ProStart program as 11th and 12th grade students. Students in the program are eligible for concurrent enrollment with Metro State University.
Tasha Campbell is a seasoned professional in the foodservice industry with extensive experience spanning her entire career. Originally from Southeast Texas, she has been based in Denver since her college years. Tasha holds an Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts from The Art Institute of Colorado, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and a Master of Arts in Gastronomy from Boston University. Since 2020, she has transitioned her expertise into teaching, specializing in Creole and Southern cuisine, baking and pastry arts, and comprehensive restaurant production management. Her diverse educational background and hands-on industry experience uniquely positions her to prepare students for success in the culinary field.
