The automotive technician training program at Montbello Career and Technical High School (MCT) is aligned with the automotive program at Emily Griffith Technical College. MCT’s program has three areas of completion: electrical systems, brakes, and steering & suspension. Students can earn ASE certifications for each area at the end of the term. This program is designed to simulate a live automotive shop. Students work on both donated and customer automobiles to learn the techniques and procedures needed to repair automobiles. Safety, work ethics, teamwork and related academic skills are taught. Students in the program are eligible for concurrent enrollment credits.
