The Operations Committee’s intent is to connect the different organizations that keep Downtown Boulder clean, safe, and vibrant. The Committee members update each other on current and upcoming projects, relevant issues, and how to best collaborate to assist one another.

Successfully ran the operations piece of our Lights of December Parade, Freezie Fest, and St. Nick on the Bricks
Holiday Light maintenance ongoing. Substantial damage due to high winds.
8 out of 16 of the large Banners at Broadway were damaged by the high winds. Rented an aerial lift to remove until DBP banners go back up in February.
New banner poles and attachments were completed by contractor. Will be putting up in January.
On-going spot snow and ice removal throughout BID.
Graffiti has been exceptionally light

Holiday Lights install has started. Lights will not be turned on until our lighting ceremony on the 21st of November.
15th-20th Pearl street trees have been wrapped on the trunks and work is almost completed on the West End. Ground install work on the Mall will begin next week. Canopy lighting and hooking up electricity is on hold until more leaves drop from the trees.
East End Planters have been planted. Worked with Terracotta on East Pearl to locally source our evergreen trees. Additional Fall Decorations will be placed soon and after Thanksgiving we will be switching to a Winter Holiday Decor.
Aerial Lift work for the Holiday Lights will begin on November 7th to wrap the canopies of the Mall and Courthouse trees. Small impacts and cone zones will be occurring during this week.
Installed a new artwork installation on the West window of the Visitor Center in collaboration with the Museum of Boulder and a local artist.

Provides Directions and Recommendations, Graffiti/Sticker/Gum Removal, Trash/Litter Removal, Public Safety Escorts, and Hospitality Services
Currently operating in the Downtown, Civic Area, and University Hill.
